Teegan Gritt and Chloe Dring complete head shave for charity

Date published: 21 February 2014

Teenagers Teegan Gritt and Chloe Dring have completed their head shave for charity. The girls had their heads shaved on this afternoon (Friday 21 February) in aid of When You Wish Upon A Star.

Teegan said: “It went well. We’re really pleased.”

Teegan and Chloe had their heads shaved in the window of ‘Forget Me Not’ in Castleton, Rochdale and managed to catch the attention of a few passers by.

“There were quite a few people stopping and having a look. One woman saw us from the bus and she looked pretty shocked,” said Teegan.

The girls have managed to raise around £500 for their chosen charity and are very pleased with what has been raised.

Teegan said: “We raised more than we expected because we originally wanted to raise £300 so people have been really generous and the money is still coming in.”

Even though the girls aren’t completely bald (they opted for a number 3 style) Teegan has still chosen to wear a wig. “I’m not completely bald but I think Ill still wear the wig,” said Teegan.

Teegan now hopes to raise more funds for her chosen charity by taking part in the Manchester 10K run on 18 May.
