Space Expert visits Harwood Park Primary School

Pupils at Harwood Park are are spending a day in space on Monday with Jerry Stone of Spaceflight UK. Mr Stone travels to schools all across the UK with a set of inflatable planets, a rocket launcher and all kinds of other items.
Years 5 and 6 will be exploring the solar system and finding out how many planets we really have.
They will also be making and launching rockets, and building and testing Mars landers.
At the end of the day they will be supporting Comic Relief by launching Red Nose-Cone rockets!
Jerry Stone is a space presenter and author. He is President of The Mars Society UK and is often on radio and TV.
He also has a Blue Peter badge for showing Zoe Salmon and the Blue Peter team how rockets work.
