Hamer Community Primary School

Date published: 16 February 2014

Earlier this week, our Community Cohesion Ambassadors joined the children from Marland Hill and Rochdale Sixth Form Students at the College in Rochdale. They had a fantastic afternoon working together and considered future opportunities in terms of studying and further education. Thank you to Miss Wild and Miss Mullane for accompanying the children. The Citizens of the week was awarded to the Community Cohesion Group for their excellent behaviour during this visit.

The children in Mrs Casey’s Class are currently receiving extra tuition through the Music Service every Friday. They are developing their singing skills in order to join in and perform with the other IPLCN schools at the Key Stage Two singing festival at Marland Hill in March

For all the children having a paid school meal, please we remind you that the weekly cost is £9.50 not £9.25 which some people are still sending into school. Even though this is only a 25p difference, the small amounts do add up on a weekly basis when the incorrect amount is paid. Thank You.

Thank you to all parents who have been working with us this week to avoid dangerous situations occurring at the start and end of the school day – particularly on Calder Street. It is vital that cars use Calder Street as an entrance to the School grounds only and that you adhere to the no right turn sign. We need you to work with us to ensure that your children are kept safe.
