The Tudors at Smithills Hall
Date published: 31 January 2014
Class 3 from St John with St Michael went to Smithills Hall, Bolton as part of their history and literacy topic on The Tudors.
The children had a marvellous opportunity to wear fancy dress, look at the Tudor areas of the buildings comparing them to Victorian areas of the Hall and also look at Tudor food and games.
Lord Harvey (from Class 3) was our only nobleman with his flock of six noble wives.
Abbey and Will addressed the banqueters with their musical talents on a drum and lute.
Bailey and Grace dressed up and took on the roles of Lord and Lady Radcliffe.
All the children had a fantastic time, and Mr Chase, who had organised the trip, was thrilled with all the knowledge they showed when answering questions.
