A man has today been arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a girl in Rochdale.
On Thursday 19 December 2013, a 15-year-old girl was shopping in B & M Bargains on Yorkshire Street in Rochdale town centre shortly after 3.35pm, when she was approached by a man who started talking to her. When the girl went outside, the man was waiting for her and sexually assaulted her before apologising and walking off.
A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and has been taken into police custody for questioning. Enquiries are ongoing.
