Members of REAG clean up Old Manchester Road

Members of the Rochdale Environmental Action Group (REAG) cleaned Old Manchester Road on Saturday 25 January.

One member of the group has recently bought a business on Manchester Old Road and was keen to keep the area clean so enlisted the help of the REAG.

Once the clean up had been completed, members of the group took a break with a well deserved cup of tea or coffee. After their break, the group returned to the road to have a further clean up.

A spokesperson for the group said: “REAG strongly feels that education and awareness of environmental issues for the community and enforcement are the only options if the situation does not improve.”
