Lindsay Eavis spent £4 on raffle tickets and won a £10,000 Peugeot 107 Allure.
The ‘win a Car 4 Christmas’ raffle was part of a special initiative at the Pennine Acute Trust, which runs Rochdale Infirmary, The Royal Oldham Hospital, Fairfield General Hospital in Bury and North Manchester General Hospital - Lindsay is a Curriculum Delivery Facilitator in the Trust’s Learning and Organisational Development Team.
The draw was held in the staff restaurant at The Royal Oldham Hospital and last year’s car winner, Julie Lowe, drew out Lindsay’s winning ticket.
Lindsay said: “I couldn’t believe that I had won. I was attending a staff event when it was announced that the car draw had taken place and that someone in the room was the lucky winner. When my name was called out, it didn’t sink in for about 30 seconds as I don’t usually win things. I was absolutely overwhelmed when the penny dropped and apparently I stood up, screamed and danced around. Most of my work colleagues were around me when the announcement was made and were almost as excited as I was.”
The car was purchased from RRG Peugoet in Rochdale.
