Residents from Rochdale and Pennines have the chance this Saturday (1 February) to vote for the projects they want to see go ahead in their community
Residents in Rochdale and Pennines have just days left to bid for a share of almost £17,000 to fund community projects.
The money is up for grabs as part of RBH’s ground-breaking Our Choice venture which gives people the chance to shape the future of their neighbourhoods.
Residents can bid to use the money on projects including IT classes, children’s activities and gardening projects.
Our Choice puts the sharing out of funds firmly in the hands of the residents who vote for their favourite schemes at an event called Decision Day.
Rochdale residents in Freehold/Milkstone (£4,360); Falinge Hill/Shawclough, (£2,200); Dicken Green, (£2,280) and Channing Street/Waithlands, (£2,790) can bid for funds and vote along with Pennines residents in Ashbrook Hey (£1,800) and Birch View (£3,370).
The deadline for applications is Friday 17 January and Decision Day will take place at Heywood Civic Centre on Saturday 1 February (1-4pm).
Jonathan Walton, RBH Engagement Manager, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for residents in Rochdale and Pennines to get funding for a range of projects that could greatly benefit their neighbourhoods.
“It’s easy to apply for a share of the Our Choice money and the potential rewards for your community are real and long-lasting.”
To apply please contact the RBH Engagement Team on 01706 273898 or email engage@rbh.org.uk
