Keep burglars at bay
Date published: 22 January 2014
Rochdale Police state that a large percentage of burglaries are opportunistic and preventable if people remain security conscious.
A police spokesman said: "Always lock doors and windows, even when you are in your home. Always remove the keys from the lock, but keep them in an accessible place.
"Set a rule within your home that the last person coming in and going out should always be responsible for locking the door behind them."
