Work to re-open Rochdale Station subway under way
Date published: 22 January 2014
Work is currently underway at the Rochdale station subway Miall Street entrance. Network Rail say is hoped the work will be completed by April.
A spokesman for Network Rail said: “We are working with Transport for Greater Manchester regarding re-opening a section of subway from the new Metrolink car park to the front of the station.
"The proposed re-opening will provide better access to the local transport network and enhance the station environment for passengers.”
Transport for Greater Manchester confirmed the work and added: “Work is currently in its infancy stage but we are working with Network Rail and the council to establish time scales and schedules.”
