Kings Taxis aim to raise £1,000 for Syria
Date published: 21 January 2014
Ali Zahir and staff at Kings Taxis are hoping to encourage local businesses to donate money to help towards an ambulance for Syria.
The aim of the fundraising is to get local businesses to donate £10 each with the hopes of raising £1,000.
Ali said: “We have given ourselves 48 hours to raise the money. We want to do it quickly.”
Staff from the company will be going around local businesses from today (Tuesday 21 January) and asking them to get on board with the fundraising.
Money raised from the fundraising will then go towards an ambulance and medical equipment for the ambulance being sent to Syria.
“We saw things about Syria on the news and thought that they needed some help and thought that we could help them,” said Ali.
