Ryan Sandiford and John Hyland jailed over Heywood double stabbing

Green Lane closed following the stabbing
Ryan Sandiford, 19, of Green Lane, Heywood, and John Hyland, 18, from Rochdale, have been jailed after admitting grievous bodily harm with intent at Manchester's Minshull Street Crown Court.
Sandiford was sentenced to nine years and six months in prison, while Hyland was jailed for eight years.
Police received a report of a robbery on a taxi driver on Green Lane, Heywood on 26 July.
Moments after this robbery, the offenders went into a nearby house. The resulting disturbance saw two men receiving a number of stab wounds.
Sandiford and Hyland denied attempted murder.
Police said the attack had left both victims with serious injuries.
