Byron Milne: Drug dealer has sentence reduced

Byron Milne
A drug dealer from Rochdale who was jailed for 14 years and six months had his sentence reduced at the London Court of Appeal Criminal Division yesterday (Wednesday 15 January).
Byron James Milne, 30, had his sentence reduced to 13 years after his legal team claimed he was treated unfairly as he received a harsher sentence than ringleader Jason Seale.
The two men were part of a gang of ten drug dealers that were sentenced to a total of 92 years in prison back in May.
Milne was considered to be the right hand man of Bacup resident Jason Seale and his legal team complained about the disparity between the two sentences.
The men were arrested following a raid on a house on Grisedale Road, Castleton in December 2011 where police found 188,734 ecstasy tablets, 176kg of cannabis resin and 67kg of amphetamine. The haul was believed to have a street worth of between £2.5M and £4.5M.
