Elderly woman dies after car crash

An 80-year-old woman has died following a collision in Littleborough.
The woman was taken to hospital on Wednesday evening at approximately 8.00pm following a collision between three cars on the corner of Albion Street and Featherstall Road.
The emergency services were able to cut the elderly woman from her car, but she passed away in hospital earlier today (Friday 10 January). One of the other drivers suffered a minor injury whilst the third driver was unhurt.
Police are now appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 0161 856 4741.
