A woman has been left with serious injuries after a shoplifter knocked her over.

At 11.45am on Monday 30 December 2013, a man went into Boots on Market Way in Rochdale, took an item from the shelf and put it in his bag.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and theft and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
