Christmas dream comes true for Natalie Cook

Date published: 24 December 2013

Natalie Cook is celebrating after winning a prize package worth over £1,500, meaning her children’s Christmas wishes will come true after all.

The prize package from the Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre included a flat screen TV, a Playstation 4, a Samsung Galaxy tablet, a bundle of books and toys, plus gift vouchers for a host of stores at Rochdale Exchange.

Natalie, 26, from Wardle, said: “I couldn’t believe it when the team got in touch with me to tell me I’d won.

"It’s completely changed Christmas for me and the kids. We were recently served notice on our house and have only just managed to find another one, so it’s been a difficult few months.

"To win this competition has eased a lot of worry and I can now treat the family to some amazing presents.”

Thanks to the win, Natalie’s children – Melissa, 7, Madison, 5 and Adam, 3 – will wake up on Christmas morning with a few more surprises under the tree. “They’d asked for a Furby but I couldn’t afford one so was dreading letting them down,” she adds. “But there was one in the prize package, so they’ll be over the moon."

Lorenzo O’Reilly, Centre Manager at Rochdale Exchange, was delighted with the response. “As a community-focussed shopping centre, we were keen to give our shoppers the opportunity to transform their Christmas. To have so many local people enter was amazing and in Natalie I think we’ve got a very worthy winner."
