Hamer Community Primary School

Thank you to all who came along to the concerts we are sure that you will all agree that the children and staff did a fantastic job. Well done Foundation and Key Stage One!

On Friday morning, the children in Year 3 and Year 4 had the whole cinema to themselves for a private viewing of ‘Walking with Dinosaurs.’ As you know, this has been their topic this term and it was a great way to end their learning. In addition, the children behaved brilliantly and were a credit.

As you know the children have all enjoyed Christmas parties on Friday afternoon – even Father Christmas fitted us into his busy schedule and dropped in with presents! We all had a great time!

We recently received £150 worth of vouchers from an educational supplier which we have used as the prize for the classroom competition. Mrs Bi, our Chair of Governors came into school yesterday to judge the competition. It was a tough decision to have to make but Mr Khan’s class were the winners. Mrs Bi was impressed with how much cross curricular work was involved in the presentation of their classroom. Well done Mr Khan’s class!

For those of you celebrating Christmas – we wish you a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to all. Enjoy the break with all your families and friends.
