Littleborough Library host a Christmas cracker of an event

Date published: 21 December 2013

Littleborough Library held a Christmas event this morning (Saturday 21 December) as a way of thanking users of the library and inviting people into the library.

The event, which is held every year, saw the library play host to a variety of Christmas themed activities including the making of crackers.

Shabana Afzal, Senior Library Co-ordination, said: “This is the third of these events that we have run and it is a very successful event.”

Other activities included the search for Santa game, guess what’s in the Christmas box, guess the weight of the jar of sweets and a reindeer hoopla game, which was handmade by the husband of one of the library volunteers.

“We had the hoopla game made which was very nice. It has been very popular with the children,” said Shabana.

Littleborough Band also made an appearance and provided festive music. “The band have come in to get out of the rain so that has been a nice surprise for us as well,” added Shabana.
