Man dies in collision with car on Wildhouse Lane

A male pedestrian has died after being hit by a car on Wildhouse Lane, Milnrow.
Emergency services (police and ambulance) attended the scene and police attempted to resuscitate the man administering CPR but he died at the scene.
A police spokesman has confirmed the incident occurred just before 5.00pm (Thursday 19 December) and the male driver of the car remained at the scene to help police with inquiries.
The Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit is investigating.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses, and anyone who can help is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 0161 856 4741.
