Littleborough Community Primary School

Last Thursday we took part in a 'Swimming Gala' at Todmorden baths, and we are happy to announce that Y5 won a trophy, beating other local schools. Fantastic result and congratulations!

Last week both Early Years Foundation Stage and Infants staged their Christmas productions ( 'It's a Baby' and 'Santa on Strike'). Both were a huge success and enjoyed by everyone. Thank you to everyone who supported these event and to the PTFA for their help with raffles and refreshments. This week saw the production of 'Shrek and Surewood' by the Juniors. Everyone has been involved in either acting or singing in the choir. Yet another fantastic show, enjoyed by everyone. Again thanks to parents and PTFA for your support. All the mince pies not sold at the performances have been passed onto a local Food Bank. Thank you for your generosity.

As those of you going to Scotland in June, are aware, we need half payment by Christmas. If this has been overlooked, we would appreciate payment by the end of the first week of the new term. Thank you.

On Thursday we are holding our Christmas Carol assembly, closely followed by our 'Traditional Fancy Dress'. These are always well supported by parents and friends of the school. Once again we must congratulate all our winners and their parents (in advance) for some extremely creative costumes. Many thanks also are extended to Frank & Christine Kershaw and Jackie Mellor for judging the fancy dress.

Over the last two days Y1 - Y6 have been treated to a super pantomime in Halifax. They watched a performance of 'Dick Whittington' instead of having a Christmas party. Once again a good time was had by all.
