Father Christmas visits Hamer School Fair

Date published: 13 December 2013

Thank you to everyone who attended our Winter Fair on Wednesday after school. It proved to be a huge success and we managed to raise £163.63 for charity.

Particular thanks must go to Father Christmas who took time out of his busy schedule to attend and make it a very special experience for young and old alike.

The Winter Fair Raffle has been drawn:
1st Prize – Tv/Video Combo – Ticket No. 670
2nd Prize – Cuddly Toy Duck – Ticket No 623
3rd Prize – Tatty Teddy Bear – Ticket No 580

For all the great contributions to the Winter Fair the Citizens of the Week has been awarded to the Whole School. Thank You.

Next week we are holding a classroom decorating competition in school. Both staff and children are very excited about this –especially as the prize is £150 worth of vouchers to spend on learning environments. Mrs Shasta Bi (our Chair of Governors) will be judging the competition next Thursday. Good Luck Everyone

Foundation and KS1 will be putting on two performances of their concert. These will be held on Thursday 19 December at 2.00pm and Friday 20 December at 9.15am. Please try to come along to one of these .It would be lovely to see lots of parents. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes before the performance and switch off your mobile phones so that the children are not disturbed

Due to Christmas Concerts, we have had to change the time of our usual Friday assembly next week for the 20 December only, this will be at 11.00am.

Xmas Parties/Disco will be held on the afternoon of Friday 20 December. Children may bring party clothes in a bag and change after lunch.

The special Maths Assembly was held on Wednesday morning in order to recognize all the hard work and effort shown from children in our Maths Intervention Groups. Special certificates and prizes were awarded by Mrs Bingham, Mrs Ali, Mrs Read and Mrs Terry.
The assembly was well attended by parents and we would once again like to thank them for supporting both their children and the school.
