RBH employees bring festive cheer to tenants

Date published: 14 December 2013

Employee volunteers from Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) have been putting their carol singing to the test by bringing festive cheer to tenants in sheltered schemes.

The RBH employees, from a wide variety of roles across the organisation, visited sheltered schemes across Rochdale to sing carols and offer mulled wine and mince pies to tenants.

Residents at eleven sheltered schemes across the borough enjoyed the entertainment and even joined in with the singing!

Lucy Hinchliffe, RBH Development Project Assistant, said: “Everyone had a great day - it was lovely to meet the residents and spread some festive cheer! We even discovered some colleagues were secret sopranos.”

Daniel Turner, RBH Volunteering Co-ordinator, said: "I'm very grateful to all the employees who volunteered to take part. It was a great opportunity to spread Christmas cheer and spend some time with our residents"
