Wardle Academy Helps Operation Christmas Child
A group of Wardle Academy pupils have been involved in Operation Christmas Child this year. They managed to make 43 boxes in total.
13 of those boxes were supplied by James Scantlebury in Year 9. The boxes were collected by Mrs Carol Hartley.
Operation Christmas Child is the world’s largest children’s Christmas project, run by the Christian charity Samaritan’s Purse.
They have been sending gift-filled shoeboxes around the world since 1990, bringing joy to over 100 million underprivileged children.
They give shoeboxes to children based on need, regardless of their background or religious beliefs.
Well done to all the pupils and staff involved.
