The Rochdale Pioneers Museum was recently assessed by VisitEngland’s Quality Assurance Scheme (VAQAS). The assessors particularly looked at the Museum’s quality of service to its visitors and its overall ability to give visitors a memorable experience. The museum was particularly credited by assessors for its efficiency and the one-to-one personal welcome given to each visitor.
Chris De Vere of VisitEngland stated “The Rochdale Pioneers Museum offered the visitor an overall excellent quality experience.
"This is one of the gems of Rochdale. It deserves much greater awareness.
"The Rochdale Pioneers Museum fully merits the award of VisitEngland’s accreditation of ‘Quality Assured Visitor Attraction'."
Jenny Mabbott, Manager of the Rochdale Pioneers Museum, said: “We are very pleased that VisitEngland has recognised the quality of visit offered by the team at the Rochdale Pioneers Museum.
"The museum re-opened in October 2012 following an extensive HLF refurbishment and during that time we have welcomed over 13,000 visitors from across the globe.
"We will build on this excellent assessment and continue to provide and develop engaging visitor experiences during the year ahead.”
