Nursery staff given health training

Nursery staff from Fisherfield Farm nurseries
Staff at Fisherfield Farm nurseries have had advice from Rochdale Council’s Public Protection Service on how to how to maintain a healthy mind and body.
Advice included how to stop smoking, to look after your teeth, eat more healthily and the availability of exercise opportunities within the borough. Staff also had the opportunity to have their weight and blood pressure checks taken.
They also received training on public health awareness and environmental health as part of the healthy Workplace Project, which aims to support carers in the workplace by offering the health interventions.
Councillor Jacqui Beswick, Cabinet Member for Licensing and Regulatory Services at Rochdale Borough Council, said: “The council is committed to supporting the Rochdale working population to improve their health and wellbeing:”
