Milnrow Parish Primary School Christmas Fair

Date published: 01 December 2013

Milnrow Parish Primary School got ready for Christmas by holding a busy Christmas Fair.

The school hall was packed with parents, children and members of the local community coming to support the church and the school.

Father Robin Usher, Vicar of St James Church, said: “We have been very busy. I think it partly comes down to the weather because that is certainly on our side today but also the parents like to come and support their children.”

The fair included Santa’s Grotto, where children could meet Santa and get an early Christmas present, tombola, bottle stalls, sweet stalls and face painting.

Money raised from the fair will go towards the Church. Rev Usher added: “Last year we raised £1,500 so we’re hoping to raise more than that this year.”

Alison Adshead, who attended the fair with her daughters, said: “It is brilliant. We come every year and always have a good time.”

Nicola Hey, who also attended the fair with her daughters, said: “It has been really good. My daughters attend the school so we come every year.”
