Anti-Bullying Week

Date published: 28 November 2013

Last week (starting Monday 18 November) Wardle Academy took part in Anti-Bullying Week.

The week involved a range of activities and the Anti-Bullying Ambassadors were there every day giving a helping hand.

Pupils took part in poster competitions and also had anti-bullying focused PHSCE lessons.

Blue A3 anti-bullying slogans were placed all around school designed to make pupils "stop and think" and raise awareness of bullying and Beat Bullying Wristbands were on sale all week.

On Thursday lunch time pupils were invited to the main corridor and asked to write down their own individual beat bullying pledge on a post it note.

Together these formed the Anti-Bullying Pledge Wall. A video can be seen on the Wardle Academy website of the different messages pupils put on the wall.

Wardle Academy takes bullying seriously and educates its pupils in the right ways to treat each other.
