Date published: 24 November 2013

REstore, the charity which helps women change their lives by offering them training and work experience, has opened a new shop in Smallbridge.

The REstore4Kids shop was officially opened by Rochdale’s Businesswoman of the Year, and star of MTV show Beauty School Cop Outs, Jamillia Paul. Jamillia was helped during the opening by local resident Lily.

Director of REstore, Elizabeth White said: “The opening went really well. There were a lot of people from the local community getting involved.”

The shop will provide work experience for clients of Restore, as well as others looking for relevant experience, giving them a chance to gain valuable skills before finding employment.

Elizabeth added: “'Opening the shop at Smallbridge will enable us to offer women work experience which will help them in their search for work.”

The shop is located at Stevenson Square, Smallbridge and relies on donations from the general public.

“We are stocking new and nearly new clothes and toys. Donations and volunteers are welcome,” said Elizabeth.

Anyone wanting to volunteer their time at the shop or wishing to donate goods should call into the shop at 11 Stevenson Square, Smallbridge.
