Make a child smile this Christmas
Date published: 22 November 2013
Children at St John with St Michael CE Primary School in Shawforth have been busy collecting together items for The Samaritans Purse Operation Christmas Child shoe box appeal.
Children throughout the school have donated toothbrushes, toothpaste, sponges, soaps, small toys, knitted hats/scarves/gloves, hair acsessories etc to pack into wrapped shoe boxes and send to children less fortunate in other countries.
Class 3 children spent a whole afternoon packing the boxes and labelling them.
The grand total was 70 filled boxes this year which is just amazing!
