Boutique plans to raise money for charity

Date published: 20 November 2013

Staff at ladies boutique 25 Ten have organised a charity event to raise money for the children’s charity, The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (ISPCC).

The main event will be a Christmas late night shopping evening held on Thursday 21 November but staff will be collecting up to 13 December when they will be participating in ‘wear a Christmas jumper to work day’.

Staff got the idea for the event after reading about ‘wear a Christmas jumper to work day’ and thought about tying both events together for the charity.

Danni Sharrocks from 25 Ten said: “We have had a great response and it is for a great charity.”

The ladies night will include mulled wine, mince pies, Christmas songs, raffles and special offers on stock at the boutique. Strawberry Laces Shoe Boutique, which is also based in Littleborough, will be taking part in the event by bringing a collection of their shoes, scarves and accessories along for shoppers.

ISPCC is Ireland’s oldest and most well known children’s charity. The ISPCC have a long and proud history of service delivery on behalf of children in Ireland.

Danni added: “We don’t have a fundraising figure in mind but the more the better.”

The late night shopping event will take place at the boutique, which will be open from 7pm onwards. Entrance to the event will be £2 with all of the money going to the charity.
