Youth Service at Remembrance Day

Members of Rochdale Youth Forum part of Rochdale Youth Service took part in Remembrance Day Service in Rochdale.

A spokesman said: "This gave the young people an opportunity to reflect and pay there respects to the deceased and remember their sacrifices.

"The group is looking at organising and taking part in events next year to commemorate 100 years of World War I. The project will also include a short drama role-play. "

Leon Hollinrake said: "This was a great day for me to come and observe the minute silence and pay my respects to all those that have suffered a loss to lives in conflicts."

Ibrar commented: "I have learnt a lot today and this is giving me a personal journey to remember and share with fellow Rochdale people the sacrifices that soldiers gave to enable us to have our freedom today."
