Reckless vandals hurling slates and bricks endanger passers by in Littleborough

Date published: 19 November 2013

Vandals ripped tiles, slates, bricks and breeze blocks from the roof of the flat above Oasis Tanning and in act of gross stupidity and wanton recklessness began hurling them at passing people and vehicles.

It is also understood that a store room roof at The Fish and Pie Co was smashed through and the road covered with debris.

Greater Manchester Police have confirmed the incident was reported to them at around 10.00pm on Sunday (17 November)

When police arrived, two teenagers were at the scene. A 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy have been questioned by the police but no arrests have been made.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
