Donation to Springhill Hospice

Date published: 13 November 2013

Adult Community Training has donated 5,000 paperback books and assorted furniture including book spinners, shelving, desks and chairs to Springhill Hospice in Rochdale.

The books are the stock from the, now closed, Bookmen & AJs Book Stall that served the residents of Rochdale on Rochdale indoor market for 25 years.

The donation from Adult Community Training is to support Springhill Hospice at their Christmas Fair.

Jane Georgiou said: “We are delighted to be able to support Springhill Hospice with this charitable donation.

"The majority of staff and their families have received support at some time from this excellent local charity and the wonderful work they do in the community.

"We are delighted to be in a position to help such a worthwhile cause.”

Sarah Ford from the Hospice received the donation on behalf of Springhill Hospice.
