Welcome home
Children from KS2 will attend a parade at Rochdale Town Hall on Tuesday, 19 November to welcome home the First Battalion of the Royal Fusiliers from their tour of Afghanistan.
The children will each make a flag to wave and welcome home the soldiers.
Parent teacher meetings
Parent teacher meetings will be held in the school on Monday 18 November and Friday 22 November. You should have been given your appointment time by your child’s teacher, please keep to these times to avoid disruption of the sessions.
Anti-bullying week 18 to 22 November 2013
What is Anti-Bullying Week?
Anti-Bullying Week is an annual event set up by the Anti-Bullying Alliance to give people all over the country a chance to think about bullying and help come up with new ideas on how to prevent it.
Wristbands will be on sale in the school for £1 each. Proceeds from the sale of wristbands will be donated to the NSPCC.
Sacramental programme meeting – change of date
The Sacramental programme meeting will now be held on Monday 18 November and not the 25 as previously advertised. The time remains the same, 3pm in school.
Please call to the school office to be shown to the meeting room.
Homework club
Starting on Monday 25 November, we will be holding a homework club for classes 2 and upwards. The club will run from 3pm to 4pm on Monday to Thursday and will cost 25p per day. Further details are to follow.
Afterschool and breakfast clubs
The charge for afterschool club and breakfast club is 25p per session. Please ensure that you pay for your sessions at the school office every week.
Attendance and punctuality
Please ensure your child is in school for 8.50am each day. Lateness is very disruptive for the school and you should make every effort to be on time.
Attendance
If your child is absent from school, you must ring the school office on 01706 647195 before 9am to provide a valid reason.
Medicines can be administered in school by our qualified first aid staff and if your child is otherwise well but needs medication, please send them to school with their medicine and complete a consent form at the school office.
Holiday leave
Please do not ask for leave out or normal term time, this will not be granted and will be marked as unauthorised on your child’s register. Please be aware that penalty charges can and will be issued for continued absenteeism.
We next break up at 3pm on Friday 20 December for Christmas and return on Monday 6 January.
