Brendan Murphy wins Cuisine Supreme
Date published: 13 November 2013
Rochdale based chef, Brendan Murphy won first prize in the Deckers Hospitality Group annual chefs’ competition, Cuisine Supreme.
Brendan wins an overnight stay and meal at his choice of Simon Rogan restaurant. Whether he dines at the French or L'enclume it is sure to be a gastronomic experience he will never forget.
A dinner of gourmet food and superb wine was held in the Peacock Room at The Crimble to announce the winner.
Now in its sixth year, the event allows the chefs to demonstrate techniques and skills in a competitive environment, which they do not usually enter into during their usual working hours, in the various restaurants the group owns and operates in Rochdale and Huddersfield.
Managing Director Max Brierley said: “It was a very close competition, and I am very pleased for Brendan, and very proud of the work all the finalists produced.
“We love holding Cuisine Supreme and we are very thankful to our suppliers who sponsor the event, without whom we simply could not hold the competition.”
