Date published: 13 November 2013

Springhill Hospice Patron and Emmerdale actress Meg Johnson, who plays Pearl in the popular soap, will open the annual Springhill Hospice Christmas Fair taking place at the Hospice on Broad Lane this Sunday from 10.00am until 3.00pm.

Alison McGuigan, Fundraising Lead at the Hospice, said:: “We are so grateful to Meg for agreeing to come and open our fair. The support we receive from our Patrons is invaluable, and I know that people will be very keen to watch Meg open our fair.”

Entrance to the Fair, which is bigger than ever, with over 55 stalls and attractions, including Santa’s Grotto and the usual selection of games, raffles, new and second-hand goods, is free but donations will gladly be received on the door.

There is very limited parking at the Hospice, however, a free park and ride service will be operating to and from Gordon Rigg's, Kingsway from 9.30am.
