Y4 had a super trip to Shibden Hall in Halifax, last week. they played Tudor games, learned all about clothing from Tudor times and also made a Lavender bag. The staff at the hall greeted us in costume and stayed in character the whole day. The children had a great time and learned much more about their topic of study. Many thanks to Shibden Hall for such a good day.

Next week is Anti Bullying week. Each year group will be making badges and posters with special reference to bullying. All our work will be presented during assembly time, to highlight this project.

Y6 are holding a 'Bring & Buy' on Friday 22 November in aid of the British Heart Foundation. This is a culmination to their fund raising for this particular charity.

Our school 'Open Day' is to be held on Tuesday 26 November. Please arrive by the top entrance where you will be greeted by a member of staff, and given a guide tour of the school in action.

This week we have been talking to Y1, who are busy rehearsing for their Christmas production 'Santa's on Strike'.

Please help you child to learn their words and songs.

This terms topic is 'Rainforests' and 'Traffic around the school environment' In science we will be studying Light & Dark. We are also undertaking a recycling topic.
All the children are looking forward to the Pantomime trip in December to see Dick Whittington. Please return slips and money a.s.a.p.
