Wilkinson 'spooks' raise funds for The Christie

Date published: 08 November 2013

Staff from the Wilkinson store in Rochdale traded their uniform for spooky fancy dress to raise funds for The Christie.

The team donned fangs and spooky fancy dress instead of their usual red uniforms and collected donations behind the tills to help raise funds and awareness for The Christie.

Tracy Shepherd, store manager, said: “Our team members looked great in their spooky costumes, and lots of customers came down to have a look.

“We had a lot of support on the day, and it was great to raise so much money to support The Christie.”

Natalie Pike, Corporate Development Manager, at The Christie, said: “We rely on donations to support people with cancer throughout the North West and the rest of the country, so having such wonderful support from Wilko is a fantastic helping hand for us.

“The team at the Rochdale store did a great job raising money for us, and I must say, they looked fang-tastic.”
