Serious head injuries for motorbike rider

A motorbike rider suffered serious head injuries in a collision in Heywood.
At 9pm on Tuesday 5 November 2013 a Mercedes C108 and a Suzuki motorbike were in collision on York Street.
The rider of the motorbike, a 43-year-old man from Accrington, was taken to hospital with serious head injuries. He was taken to Salford Royal hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
Police are appealing for information and witnesses.
Police Constable Michelle Quinn from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “This collision happened just prior to the junction with Chapel Street near the Esso petrol station. If you were in the area and remember seeing either vehicle beforehand, or the collision itself, please call us.”
