Manchester Victoria Christmas blockade

There will be a nine day Blockade at Manchester Victoria, from the shutdown on Christmas Eve (24 December 2013) until the start of service on 2 January 2014. This is for track lowering work to take place for electrification clearance below Cheetham Hill Bridge at the east end of Victoria Station.
Calder Valley Services
Calder Valley services will mainly start and terminate at Rochdale with two trains per hour operating between Rochdale – Leeds via Bradford.
A limited service will operate through to Moston serving Castleton and Mills Hill (one train per hour Moston – Leeds via Dewsbury)
There will be two buses per hour operating between Victoria – Rochdale stations (non-stop) and two buses per hour operating between Victoria – Rochdale calling at Moston, Mills Hill and Castleton Stations (one of these will start from/extend to Salford Central station).
Ashton/Stalybridge/Huddersfield Services
An hourly train service will operate between Ashton/Stalybridge – Huddersfield stations. A half hourly bus service will operate between Salford Central/Manchester Victoria – Ashton/Stalybridge stations. TransPennine Express services will be making additional calls at Stalybridge station to provide two trains per hour between Stalybridge and Manchester Piccadilly.
