Matthew Moss welcomes Australian Headteachers

Date published: 06 November 2013

Matthew Moss High School, Marland, hosted a party of Australian Headteachers who are visiting a small number of UK schools to witness successful practice in teaching and learning.

The party, from the Sydney Centre for Innovation in Learning, were especially interested in the success of the school’s Yr 7 and 8 My World curriculum and the ways in which project-based learning across the years is helping to develop young people as strong and effective learners.

Stephen Harris, Principal of the prestigious North Beaches Christian School, Sydney, commented: “ It was great to visit Matthew Moss again. The same intense focus on “the learner” prevails and the school was a positive hive of productivity. I look forward to hearing of Matthew Moss’s progress under the leadership of a new Head.”

Mark Moorhouse, Headteacher of Matthew Moss, said: “It is affirming for our school to have education experts travel half-way round the world to see us. Our international reputation for the quality of our practice remains as strong as ever.”
