Stolen van chased across town in two collisions

Workers pursing thieves who stole their van from Albert Royds Street collided with the stolen van on Syke Road/Woodlands Road, Syke.
The thieves in the stolen van were able to drive off but subsequently crashed into a Vauxhall Vector on Heights Lane/Howard Street.
The thieves ran off.
It is understood the driver of the Vauxhall Vector driver was unhurt.
Police closed off Howard Street and the police helicopter joined the search for the thieves.
