RBH Junior Wardens in Hallowe’en fancy dress do their best to frighten the photographer
RBH junior wardens from Kirkholt and Smallbridge gathered at Q Gardens on Wednesday 30 October for a Hallowe’en lunch and party.
The fun activities included a Hallowe’en fancy dress competition, biscuit decorating, lantern-making, balloon models, a creepy-crawly hunt, and the opening of the Q Gardens “bug hotel”, which will help to attract insects and wildlife into the gardens.
The event was organised by RBH employees and volunteers together with colleagues from Groundwork Oldham & Rochdale.
Ruth Sillence, RBH Communities First Co-ordinator, said: “The community gardens are a fantastic place for the children to go and learn about their environment in a fun way. It was great to listen to the chatter of the children as they excitedly ate their Hallowe’en-themed lunch!”
If any community groups or agencies are interested in getting involved with Q Gardens, or would like more information about plots, please contact Chris Woodruff on 01706 273977.
