The Bishop of Manchester, The Right Reverend David Walker
The Bishop of Manchester, The Right Reverend David Walker, will be enthroned at Manchester Cathedral on Saturday 30 November at 2.00pm.
He will knock on the door of the cathedral with his staff at the start of the service.
Earlier in the day the Bishop will make a pilgrimage from Mossley Parish Church, where he was baptised, to Manchester Cathedral where he will be joined by hundreds of clergy and parishioners as he celebrates the start of his public ministry in Greater Manchester.
Bishop David was Bishop of Dudley from 2000-2013.
He returns to the city of Manchester as Bishop, having grown up here and being a student of Manchester Grammar School.
