On Friday 25 October, Wardle Academy celebrated those students who have put themselves forward to be Anti-Bullying Ambassadors.
Over 60 pupils from Year 7 to Year 11 have volunteered to promote anti-bullying in the school.
In anticipation of Anti-Bullying Week, taking place from Monday 18 November, our newly appointed pupil Anti-Bullying Ambassadors have come up with some fantastic ideas to publicise this event in school.
This follows on from the recent round of anti-bullying assemblies that our prefects have presented to all students. Anti-Bullying Week will include inter-house and inter-form competitions and the sale of beat bullying wristbands as well as other pupil led initiatives.
Dr. Graham Wright, the Headteacher, told the pupils: “You have a really important role to fulfill and you are going to do some great work for us. Well done!”
The pupils had to fill in application forms, attend an interview and complete the training required to become an Anti-Bullying Ambassador. On Friday they were all given certificates by the Headteacher Dr. Graham Wright.
