Award nomination for inspirational Nickie Hallard

Date published: 25 October 2013

Nickie Hallard has had her commitment recognised with a nomination for the “Best Housing Professional” award at the 2013 “Women In Housing” Awards.

The inaugural Women in Housing Awards will celebrate and recognise the achievements of female professionals from all disciplines, working within the Housing sector across the UK. The awards have been endorsed by leading industry organisations including the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), HouseMark, the Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) and the women's national housing networking group, WISH.

The awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday 6 November, hosted by Commonwealth Gold Medallist athlete Diane Modahl, with The Apprentice star Karren Brady as special guest speaker.

Gareth Swarbrick, Chief Executive of Rochdale Boroughwide Housing where Nickie is Director of Resources, said: “We’re delighted that Nickie has been shortlisted for such a prestigious award. As our Director of Resources, Nickie has utilised her professional skills but has gone much further, she has embraced and delivered the RBH's mutual vision, acting as a role model for her colleagues throughout the organisation. She inspires all of those who work with and for her.

"The high number of women in senior management roles with RBH demonstrates our strong commitment to equal opportunities; they are fantastic role models for women who are seeking a career in housing”.
