St Margaret’s School bounce into Rochdale Sixth Form College
Date published: 25 October 2013
More than 30 primary school pupils from St Margaret’s Primary School in Heywood visited Rochdale Sixth Form College recently to see first-hand what life would be like at the college.
The children had a tour around the college facilities and were particularly interested in the impressive art studio with the eye-catching work on display. They even managed to get a sneak preview of some of the students rehearsing the college musical on stage.
In addition to the art and drama departments, the students also attended an interactive science class where they watched an experiment involving how to make bouncy balls.
Julian Appleyard, Principal at Rochdale Sixth Form College, said: It was a pleasure to welcome the pupils to the College, and give them a tour of our facilities, so they can see what options are available to them if they work hard through secondary school. Hopefully, in a few years’ time – we’ll see some familiar faces back at the College.”
