A new costume design competition from the Drama Department is now available for all years to enter based around the famous character of Count Dracula. The competition closes on Friday 8 November 2013 at the end of the school day and there are three prizes for the best three entries. Well done to everyone who has submitted an entry so far. Please see our school website to obtain a copy of the entry form electronically or visit the CEPA Faculty.

Arts Award Silver and Gold learners will begin their Arts Challenges tasks straight after half term and should now have completed their action plans and task timelines. Please remember to continue to add evidence to your portfolios in your free time from theatre visits, gallery visits, clubs and other out-of-school involvement. For more details, please see Mr De Courcey in the CEPA Office at breaktimes of lunchtimes.

Well done to the BTEc dance students who were involved in the ‘Dance to Echo’ project with Spiral Dance on Friday this week. The learners produced a short film based on a poem which was reviewed by the poet Simon Armitage as part of the Rochdale ‘Ideas and Literature’ Festival. Congratulations on the excellent work by all involved.

Mr Mvula and the Year 10 Drama group were involved in a protest poetry session with ‘Just Poets’ this week and staged a mock protest as part of the Rochdale ‘Ideas and Literature’ Festival. Well done to all involved and we hope the photos will be available on school website very soon.
