The joint Eid/Harvest Assemblies with Springside School will be on Friday 25 October at 9.15am for the Foundation and Key Stage One children and 2.15pm for KS2. We are asking for donations of food/tins etc and/or money for a Local Charity which we will consult with the children to choose.

Last week on Thursday and Friday the children across school have enjoyed Maths Theme days. By using number based stories our children have immersed themselves in practical, fun, hands on activities to further support the development of their maths knowledge skills and understanding. Ask your child what they have been up to We are sure they will be able to tell you all about it.

On Thursday 24 October the Foundation Stage will be having an open evening in conjunction with their IPC Exit Point for “Friends and Family”. Please do come along and have a look around the unit, talk to staff, look at your child’s work and achievements to date and talk about targets and progress.

Well done to Mrs Casey & Mrs Connolly’s classes for the best attendance for week ending 11 October 2013. Please support us by ensuring that your child is on time and in school every day.

As the children were only in School for the last 2 days of last week, we will resume our Stars and Citizen’s awards next week.

It is that time in the half term where we recognize and value the impact of the actions and attitude of our lunchtime role models. The following children enjoyed their visit to Pizza Hut on Friday 18 October lunchtime:

Rajit Khan – Reception
Safiyyah Shazad – Miss Page
Hassan Ali – Mrs Hatcliffe
Mickey McEvoy – Miss Nicholson
Anisha Rahman – Mrs Casey
Heena Bi – Mrs Connolly
Zubia Aniq – Mrs Smith
Rubaab Irfan – Miss Birchenough
Kai Pownell – Mr Khan
Amina Jamil – Miss Graham

Well done to all our fantastic role models, excellent manners and positive attitudes every lunch time! Brilliant.
