Reception Class visit Touchstones

The Reception Class walked down the hill to Touchstones. The children enjoyed doing the quiz about the sea pictures, and solving all the puzzles.

In the Bloom exhibition they coloured in flowers to take home. They then made funny animal models with the great resources in the People’s Art room.

Reception & Nursery children welcomed PC Grange into school to talk about being a police officer. He brought in lots of police clothes, which the children enjoyed trying on. PC Grange taught the children what number to ring if there is an emergency.

Nursery up to Year 11, and parents attended Beech House School's Harvest Festival. The service was lead by the Bishop of Middleton, The Right Reverend Mark Davies. The donated food was will be put to good use by Petrus. The work of Petrus was discussed by Julie McDonough and Theresa McNee. A member of each Year Group in the Senior Department gave the readings.

A number of our Year 10 students have had stories published in ‘A Twist in the Tale – Fiendish Fiction’ recently. Congratulations go to accomplished authors Jessica Butterworth, Yolanda Cruz, James Hart, Anis Hussain and Jessica Scott.

Daisi Daniels, Year 7, has again won a British Indoor U12 National Ski Title at Chill Factore in Manchester last month. Daisi is fast being recognised as an accomplished skier in her age group. Well done again Daisi!
